NATSAVE DONATES K150,000 TOWARDS FUNERAL EXPENSES-CHILUBI ISLAND
NATSAVE donated a cheque worth one hundred and fifty thousand kwacha towards the funeral expense budget of the 14 Seventh Day Adventist youths from Chilubi East who died after their boat capsized on Lake Bangweulu.
The cheque was received by the Republican Vice President Mrs. WK Mutale Nalumango, who described the tragic death as criminal negligence by the people who were entrusted with the safety of the deceased youths.
Speaking during the donation, the Vice President praised NATSAVE for considering the people of Chilubi as family and called on other organizations to emulate the Bank.
Meanwhile, NATSAVE Chief Executive Officer Mr. Malcolm Chabala described the period of mourning the tragic loss of the 14 youths as a dark period for the Bank.
Mr. Chabala said NATSAVE is the only Bank in Chilubi. NATSAVE CEO MALCOLM CHABALA He explained that "Customer First," being one of the Bank's core values, serves as a guiding principle to take up the duty to be actively involved in the lives of the people in the communities that the Bank serves.
Additionally, the CEO also pledged that the Bank would continue being a responsible corporate citizen for the people of Zambia while delivering financial inclusion.
NATSAVE made its donation alongside the Chinese Youths Entrepreneurs Association in Zambia, which donated 1,200 bags of mealie meal and 504 bottles of cooking oil to the affected grieving citizens.
