NATSAVE TAKES A STAND TO ENHANCE TEACHERS FINANCIAL INCLUSION
NATSAVE Bank signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Zambia National Union of Teachers (ZNUT) on Thursday 1st June 2023 aimed at enhancing the support that the Bank renders to the teaching community.
In a speech read on behalf of NATSAVE CEO Mr. Malcolm Chabala, Director Corporate Banking, Sarah Kamoto, said the MOU is a partnership aimed at alleviating financial burdens and providing teachers with the necessary financial support to excel in their profession.
Ms. Kamoto explained that the MOU serves as proof that the Bank holds a shared vision and commitment with ZNUT aimed at empowering teachers through granting them easy access to a wide range of loan products tailored to meet their unique financial needs.
She further added that the MOU will enable the Bank to expand its digital reach by providing ZNUT members with convenient access to financial services the bank's digital platforms.
Meanwhile, ZNUT Deputy Secretary-General Finance, Muvwanjilanji Siwila, said among the benefits of the MoU included investment opportunities that would be available to members such as investing in bonds and other money market ventures.
Siwila said the agreement would also provide financial literacy programs to members, which would help regarding the prudent utilization of financial resources.
