With a career that spans over two decades at the intersection of Commercial banking and international Trade Policy, Mecha is widely recognised for driving organic institutional growth and architecting robust frameworks for business solutions.
Mecha systematically brokered high-value partnerships with leading telecommunications conglomerates to deepen the Bank’s market penetration. This strategic MNO integration successfully converged legacy banking protocols with agile mobile financial services (MFS) platforms. By championing interoperable channels, Mecha effectively expanded NATSAVE’s commercial reach into previously inaccessible rural and peri-urban demographics, radically advancing the institution's financial inclusion mandate. This initiative not only optimised the Bank’s low-cost deposit mobilization capabilities but also established a benchmark for fintech-bank collaborations within the national financial ecosystem.
Mecha holds executive responsibility for the Bank’s overarching commercial trajectory, portfolio diversification, and the strategic execution of its statutory mandate to deliver sustainable, equitable financial solutions across all sectors of the economy.

Emmanuel is a multi-skilled and strategic finance professional with over 20 years of both local and international work experience gained from the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom. His expertise span across various functions including business strategic planning, business/finance policy procedures design, implementation & reviews, project analysis, implementation & evaluation, resource mobilization, financial planning & management, business/corporate risk review & management as well as delivery of large complex audits across various sectors.
He previously was the Head of Treasury at the Development Bank of Zambia (DBZ) where he was also the Deputy Chief Finance Officer. His role involved leading in all aspects of financial management and resource mobilization.
Emmanuel had an 8 years carrier with Illovo/Zambia Sugar (worth about USD 106 million) where he was Finance Manager – Corporate. In this role, he was responsible for all aspects of financial management and reporting. During this time, he was also on the Zambia Sugar Pension Fund Board of Trustees (worth about USD 28 million) where he was the Risk & Audit Committee Chairperson, Investment Committee Chairperson and later becoming Board’s Chairperson.
He has worked with PwC Zambia as an Audit & Assurance Manager and a number of Audit & Assurance firms in the Republic of Ireland & the United Kingdom, last of which was as Associate Manager at WTE Chartered Accountants in the UK.
He has held other positions such as the Chairperson – Tourism Enterprise Authorisation & Licensing Committee, Advisory Council Chairperson – Luapula Foundation and Member of the Audit & Risk Committee – National Prosecution Authority.

Benaiah Mupenda is a seasoned Legal Practitioner, Company Secretary, and Regulatory Executive with over 17 years of experience in corporate law, employment and pension law, ICT law and human rights. He is an accomplished governance and legal professional with extensive experience in the financial, regulatory, and communications sectors.
Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions, driving corporate governance excellence, regulatory compliance, and board effectiveness. He has also provided regional leadership in policy and regulatory harmonisation across Southern Africa and has served in several board and non-executive roles, bringing strong expertise in governance, strategy, and institutional leadership.

Terry K. Munyumbwe is a seasoned technology professional with over 20 years’ experience in Information Technology. He is an accomplished Information Technology executive with extensive experience in enterprise systems, digital financial services, telecommunications, IT security, and IT governance. He has successfully led technology transformation initiatives and cross-functional teams across the banking, telecommunications, education, and technology sectors.
His career spans senior leadership roles in ICT, digital transformation, and technology solutions, with experience supporting organisations across Southern Africa. He has also contributed significantly to ICT standardisation in Zambia since 2014 through his participation in national technical committees on quality of service and performance.
In recognition of his contributions to the ICT sector, he has received an Award of Merit for his active role in ICT standardisation and has twice been honoured with a Future Star Award for excellence in technology leadership. Terry brings a strong track record in innovation, governance, and strategic technology management.

Catherine Mkandawire is an experienced Human Capital Practitioner and currently serves as Chief People and Culture Officer at the National Savings and Credit Bank (NATSAVE). She has over a decade of experience in Human Capital Management, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Organizational Development, HR Policy Development, Strategic Workforce Planning, and Human Resource Operations.
Prior to her appointment, Catherine served as Manager Human Capital and Administration for three years and Manager Human Capital Operations for six years. Through these roles, she developed extensive experience in industrial relations, employee onboarding, policy formulation, performance management, organizational restructuring, job evaluation, and strategic human resource management.
Catherine is passionate about employee well-being and fostering high performing workplace cultures. She is recognised for her strong people management, negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills, which have contributed to strengthening organizational effectiveness and employee productivity.

Fridah Phiri is the current Chief Internal Auditor at the National Savings and Credit Bank with 10 years in Audit and over 25 years’ experience in the banking sector.
